Snakebite

Yes, Australia has a lot of snakes, on land and in the sea, however, very few tourists ever get bitten.

The utmost care should be taken when walking through wilderness tracks, climbing down gorges, swimming in tropical waters and during wildflower seasons.

The best way to avoid being bitten is by making lots of noise, carry a long stick, but most of all, leave them alone. Let them pass by as they live in the bush and have many ways of defending themselves we don't even know about.
